We are thrilled to welcome Fire Chief Erick Peterson to the Character Abbotsford Council. Please see the chief’s bio below.

Chief Erick Peterson worked with the City of Delta for 15 years before taking on the Chief for the City of Williams Lake in 2018. After four years working in Williams Lake Erick is excited to bring his family back to the lower mainland and work with the City of Abbotsford. Erick strongly believes that by working together we can develop a safer community and a more integrated approach to community wellbeing.

Welcome Jasmit Singh Phulka!

  We are thrilled to welcome JASMIT SINGH PHULKA to the Character Council! Bio Jasmit Singh Phulka was born on October 11, 1993. He is a Canadian free-style wrestler hailing from Abbotsford, BC. In 2010, at the age of 16, Jasmit won the gold medal at his first-ever international tournament representing Team Canada – the Youth Commonwealth Championships in Singapore. Alongside his pivotal win, he created Canadian history by becoming the first Canadian to win the Outstanding Youth Wrestler Award. Since then, Jasmit Singh Phulka has consistently been one of Canada’s top wrestlers and worldwide. Beyond his successful wrestling career, Phulka has also been actively involved in community work involving youth all across the Lower Mainland.
